January Principal's Message
Welcome to second semester! I hope that everyone enjoyed the holidays, but I am also sure you are ready to get back to a normal routine. According to social media, most parents are ready for their kids to go back to school, so we will welcome them with open arms. No really, we will!
While it was great to have snow over the holidays for a change, the frigid cold temperatures are getting a little old. We are forecasted to continue to have chances of snow and colder than normal weather. This is a good opportunity to remind you of our Winter Weather Procedures. The link includes details about why, how, and when our district makes weather decisions.
As we begin second semester, this is a great time to remind your child that this is an opportunity for a fresh start, regardless of how they performed first semester. This is a chance for students who met their goals first semester to keep working in a positive direction, and for those who did not do as well, it is a chance to start over. Each semester, it is our goal to provide students with the best opportunities for learning. That process requires a committed effort from both the student and teacher.
We have a lot of winter sporting events continuing in January. There are several athletic calendars circulating, but the best location for the most accurate events, dates, and times is through our athletic websites. Check out our home events and come out to support our Panthers.
