Jude Soundar

Jude Soundar is a 1988 graduate of LeRoy High School and a National Honor Society member.
Jude is the Executive Director, Health Information Technology, for the Social Security Administration. He is in charge of increasing the amount of electronic data used in disability adjudications, which determine eligibility for disability benefits.
Previously, he served as an Associate Deputy General Counsel for the Army Office of the General Counsel focusing on financial compliance. Jude also served as a policy advisor for the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
Additionally, Jude is in the Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps where he served on missions to the Democratic Republic of Congo to instruct on conflict mineral issues.
Before public service, Jude was a Senior Compliance Officer at JPMorgan Chase, concentrating on banking compliance. Jude advised early stage technology companies and was a technologist for Grant Thornton.
Jude received a B.S. from the University of Illinois, a J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, and, in 2020, an MBA from The Duke University, Fuqua School of Business. He is a Fellow in the Truman National Security Project and a former Board Member of the Filipino Veterans Recognition and Education Project, which spearheaded the recognition of Filipino World War II Veterans by the 2017 Congressional Gold Medal. In 2021, Chief Data Officer Magazine named Jude to the List of Leading Data Executives in North American Government.
