LeRoy School Community,

Mr. Gary Tipsord will be retiring in December 2023 as the Superintendent of LeRoy CUSD#2.   The LeRoy CUSD#2 Board of Education has concentrated on an effective transition process for nearly two years.   This process culminated with five meetings held between October 17 and October 28 to fill the position of Superintendent.   

We have been fortunate in this employment climate to have a sustained administrative team for more than a decade.  The Board of Education felt strongly that we had two excellent internal candidates, and interviewed both Mr. Baughman and Mrs. Conn.  We have been well served by quality leaders in both of our buildings over the years, and we were faced with a very challenging choice.

The Board of Education extended an offer to Mr. Baughman to be the next Superintendent of Schools for LeRoy CUSD#2 and this afternoon we finalized the hiring process. Mr. Baughman will assume the duties of the Superintendent beginning July 1, 2023.

We consider ourselves so fortunate to have such wonderful leaders who are so invested in our School Community and we are excited about the next season of the LeRoy School System.
