March Principal Message

Panther Families,

The shortest, but what often feels like the longest month of the year has come to a close. Despite March’s attempt to catch us off guard today, we were fortunate to avoid significant snow affecting the school day and it looks like we are on track for the last day of student attendance to be May 24th. Spring Break is just around the corner and, hopefully, a full reprieve from the winter. When we return from Spring Break, the district will officially set the final student attendance day of the year and we will begin to push out formal end of year event information.

With parents beginning to ask questions about end of year events, I want to share two key dates that have come up. Graduation is traditionally the Sunday before Memorial Day weekend at 2:00pm, which will continue this year and into the near future. We will hold graduation outside at the football field again on Sunday, May 21st at 2:00pm. Our 8th Grade Celebration Assembly will be on Wednesday, May 24th at 2:00pm. We will end our day with the assembly and then release students for the summer! More details about graduation and other end of the year events will be shared in mid-April.

Please help remind your children the same thing I tell all of our students and teachers this time of year: take a deep breath and be patient with and kind to each other every day. We all have a little cabin fever from the winter. A long-awaited and needed Spring Break will be here soon and then we turn the corner to the end of the school year.
