May Principal's Message
May has arrived and only 16 days of school remain. This time of year gets very busy and tends to fly by. We have a long list of events at the end of this post that will help you plan your end of the school year. This month is traditionally one of great celebration with Seniors making post-secondary plans, announcements of scholarship winners, and other year-end awards.
We are also finishing the school year with a return of our HS Workshop Week after a one year hiatus. This year’s workshops will consist of four, three hour blocks over the course of two days (May 21 and 22, 8:15-11:15, Lunch 11:15-12:15, 12:15-3:15). Students were required to schedule three of the four blocks into their day and are not required to be in attendance outside of their scheduled workshops. Workshop options include ESCAPE Bloomington, Automotive Repair, Culinary Arts, Life Fitness, Theatre Make-Up, and many others. In addition to our traditional workshops, students also have the opportunity for college tours, job shadowing, and volunteer hours.
As I always tell our teachers and students when a long break nears, there is light at the end of the tunnel. It has been a long year, but a great year of learning, growth, and, hopefully, fun. We appreciate all of your support as parents. All of us care about your children and want them to become the best versions of themselves that they can be. Please encourage your child to be positive and finish the year on a high note.
