It was recently brought to our attention that we had a bus route being driven in a manner that was not appropriate. We take the safety of all of our students seriously and when the concern was brought forward, it was addressed with our transportation staff. It was really helpful that the report was accompanied by data. The reporting parent made us aware of the Life 360 app, and provided us some of the reports that it has the power to produce. For a lot of reasons, this app seems to be an effective tool for parents, especially parents of young drivers. Every school district has a tremendous responsiblity to transport students safely to and from school as well as to various events and contests. This app is a wonderful tool in the necessary accountability process to help ensure that we all work together to make the transportation of students as safe as possible, whether on our buses, with their friends, or in their own cars.
