After 33 years serving the students and families of LeRoy CUSD #2, December 15th is Mr. Tipsord's last day with the district. Thank you for all you have done for LeRoy Schools and enjoy your retirement!

Junior High Art Students would like to thank the Living Well United Center for their donation of newspapers to the art classroom.

Education Exchange Career Event with Normal West High School
On December 4, Normal West High School students visited LeRoy High School. On December 11, LHS students visited Normal West for our first ever Education Exchange Career Event.
The education exchange field trip experience was intended to give students experience in an education environment that is different from their home school. Students had the opportunity to experience high school in an urban and rural setting.
Students from LeRoy High School who were selected to participate in this experience have shown an interest in a career in education and/or have demonstrated leadership by volunteering time through tutoring or other helping activities.
Students from NWHS who participated in this experience are enrolled in their Introduction to Education course where they learn about the education system as a whole.
LHS and NWHS students took turns being guests at each other’s schools. Students spent one full school day shadowing another student through their daily schedule. They attended classes, met teachers, and saw each school in action!
Thank you to Vicki Levingston (LHS) and Teri Wilson (NWHS) for coordinating this memorable event!

LIVE on ABC! Our cheerleaders will be in the longest running Thanksgiving Day Parade in the nation. Congratulations to the 5 individuals named UCA All Americans who will represent LHS Cheer in Philadelphia, PA at the Thanksgiving Day parade.
All-Americans will perform alongside massive floats and giant balloons, as well as favorites from the entertainment world as the 2023 Dunkin’ Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade makes its way through the heart of historic Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event is televised in the Philadelphia area and syndicated throughout the United States.
Addi, Halle, Kenzie, Macy and Peyton earned the All-American title via tryout based on superior cheerleading or dance skills. Only the top 15% of the cheerleaders and dancers who attend Varsity Spirit camps in the summer receive this honor and the chance to march in this prestigious Thanksgiving Da Parade. The All-American group will be in Philadelphia from November 21 through the 24, practicing their routine and visiting Philadelphia landmarks.

We always appreciate our cafeteria staff, but today they deserve a shout out for preparing a Thanksgiving feast with all the fixings including pumpkin bars! These JH students approve. A lot of extra work went into this meal. We have full bellies and thankful hearts today!

Thank You School Board Members

Thank you to Katie Greer on a great presentation and message for our 6th-12th grade students about social media decision-making! Katie is down to earth and reasonable in her message to students. If students took just a few things from today’s message related to social media or life in general, we hope that includes: Slow down and think before posting/saying something, don’t talk to anyone you don’t know, having control over your body is empowering, and healthy relationships do not include pressure. We can all do a better job at managing our screen time. Strive to do better every day.
