Thank you to our maintenance staff, bus drivers, city workers, township, and all those who woke up extra early today to clear our lots, plow our roads, and ensured safe transport of our students to school.
LeRoy Schools are in session today. Bus drivers will be extra cautious today so routes may run a little behind schedule. Dress warm and take your time getting to school, especially our student drivers. Remember we are already scheduled for a cold weatherattendance day today so if you need to drop your regular walker off early so you can get to work, our buildings will be open at 7:00am. We appreciate you only sending them before 7:45am if you absolutely have to.
Whether we decide to have school or cancel, we know there will always be people who disagree with the decision. Regardless of our decision to have school, as a parent you have the ultimate responsibility to decide if your child attends. We are respectful of that decision and the absence will be excused.

Congratulations to the JH & HS Students earning honor roll recognition for the 1st semester. Students named to the Honor Roll have earned a 3.5 GPA or higher.

You'll get all the features of our new website in a user-friendly app and can sign up for push notifications on your device. The app includes the option for push notifications, live feed, live up to date events calendar, live up to date breakfast and lunch menus, links to athletic websites, and more! This is a great way to stay connected to the district in a user-friendly way.
Tonights boys basketball game against Eureka has been canceled due to weather. We will try to reschedule. As of now the girls game is still on for 6pm in Clinton.

After 33 years serving the students and families of LeRoy CUSD #2, December 15th is Mr. Tipsord's last day with the district. Thank you for all you have done for LeRoy Schools and enjoy your retirement!

Education Exchange Career Event with Normal West High School
On December 4, Normal West High School students visited LeRoy High School. On December 11, LHS students visited Normal West for our first ever Education Exchange Career Event.
The education exchange field trip experience was intended to give students experience in an education environment that is different from their home school. Students had the opportunity to experience high school in an urban and rural setting.
Students from LeRoy High School who were selected to participate in this experience have shown an interest in a career in education and/or have demonstrated leadership by volunteering time through tutoring or other helping activities.
Students from NWHS who participated in this experience are enrolled in their Introduction to Education course where they learn about the education system as a whole.
LHS and NWHS students took turns being guests at each other’s schools. Students spent one full school day shadowing another student through their daily schedule. They attended classes, met teachers, and saw each school in action!

Junior High Art Students would like to thank the Living Well United Center for their donation of newspapers to the art classroom.
Information regarding 2023 Fall Semester Final Exams for high school students has been emailed via Skyward. Please note that all high school students will have a modified schedule on Monday, December 18 & Tuesday, December 19.
