Boating season is right around the corner. Do not miss this great opportunity!

Internships are another great opportunity to explore your future career before spending money toward education and training! Build your resume, gain valuable skills, and confirm your next path before walking across our graduation stage!

LeRoy Schools will finish the regular school day. After school activities need to be completed by 5:00pm. We will run after school Panther Care until 5:00, but we ask that parents please pick up their children as early as possible. These decisions help allow our staff to get home safely.

We will keep a close eye on the forecast through the morning. We are under a winter weather advisory with the most likely window for freezing rain beginning at noon. Right now models show the greatest chance for freezing rain most likely late afternoon or early evening. However it could start as early as 1:00. Please have a plan in place for a potential early dismissal.

Don't forget! We encourage our students to begin exploring their future career path by engaging in job shadow opportunities!

Seniors - Mark your calendars! This is a meeting you don't want to miss.

Congratulations to the JH & HS Students earning honor roll recognition for the 1st semester. Students named to the Honor Roll have earned a 3.5 GPA or higher.

It's FFA week! Thank you to our FFA for providing a fun and educational week for our JH and HS students!

LeRoy 2018 graduate Jimmy Spencer was awarded the "Early Service Educator" award at the Illinois Music Educator Conference in Peoria today. He has taught at Olympia High School since 2022. Nominated by Dr. Andy Rummel from Illinois State University, he had this to say about Jimmy. "The transformation at all levels of the band program is nothing short of amazing since Jimmy's arrival at Olympia. Musically, the band are now focused on playing with their best characteristic sounds and have pride in what they are accomplishing. Mr. Spencer has single handedly doubled the members of the band in just three years." Pictured here: Dr. Andy Rummell, Mrs. Wells, Jimmy, Laura and Sean Spencer. Congratulations Jimmy!

🚨🚨Everyone is safe and ok. We have an ambulance at LeRoy High School for a minor student health precaution. No reason to be alarmed. 🚨🚨

🚨 🚨3:15 Update - Elementary school is back up and running. We will be in regular session on Friday. Additional details will be sent this evening. Plan on bringing water to school tomorrow but we will also have plenty of bottled water. 🚨 🚨

🚨 🚨 12:30pm Update🚨 🚨
1. Classes are operating normally at the elementary school. We will have normal dismissal.
2. There is no After School Panther Care. If you have concerns with pick up, please call the elementary office.
3. We have a water line break on our property that does not affect neighboring residents.
4. We are problem-solving having restroom access available until the end of the day.
5. Students have access to bottled water.
6. We made lunch adjustments and all students have eaten.
7. We are currently evaluating the impact on Friday. Right now we are planning to be in session and are doing everything we can to be in session. If we are unable to be in session Friday, it would be a Remote Learning Day for the entire district that would not need to be made up.
8. We will make a decision regarding Friday as soon as possible. That likely will not occur until 4:00pm at the earliest, but we will make a decision by 6:00pm.

Due to the ongoing water situation at the Elementary school, after-school Panther Care is cancelled today. All parents of Panther Care students must contact the office to arrange alternate dismissal plans prior to 2:30 PM.
Thank you for your understanding!

🚨 🚨 11:15am We are still in the process of evaluating a water leak coming out of our elementary building into our back parking lot and are working with the city to determine the cause.
Our water main has been shut off so there is not water to the elementary building. We have a solution for students to get bottled water as needed and for bathroom use.
Otherwise we are operating as normal.
We will update you when we have more information.

🚨 🚨 10:52am We are in the process of evaluating a water leak coming out of our elementary building that is flowing into our back parking lot toward our Meadow Lane neighbors. Right now, nothing is affecting our classrooms, lunch, or water. Operations are normal. We will update you when we have more information. 🚨 🚨
