Each year, local chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) recognize high school seniors as Outstanding Good Citizens. These students are nominated by teachers and other staff members based on the qualities of: Dependability, Service, Leadership, Scholarship, and Patriotism. This year's DAR Good Citizen for Le Roy High School is Colin Dunafin and this year's SAR Good Citizen is Bohdan Zeleznik. Congrats Colin and Bo!

UPDATE 3:30pm - Everything is resolved and everyone is ok. Thank you LeRoy EMS and Fire, as well as to our students, staff, and parents for their cooperation with dismissal adjustments! UPDATE 3:00pm - Dismissal was started early to try to help accommodate traffic congestion. Again, all students and staff are safe. Students have been dismissed from school but there is an ongoing medical emergency. Please steer away from LES if possible. All students and staff are safe, but there is a medical emergency at the elementary school that warrants EMS response. Therefore the school is on soft lock down as of 2:35pm. Any time we have a medical emergency we go into soft lock down for everyone’s safety and privacy. Students and teachers are doing normal activities but everyone is asked to stay in their rooms until the emergency is resolved.

LHS Key Club, led by Mrs. Kim Wohlwend, sold donuts last week to raise money for hurricane relief efforts. The $200 they raised went directly to those affected by the storms. “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”

Thanks to an extremely generous donation from the After Prom Committee and other fundraising efforts, this group was able to attend Fright Fest at Six Flags in St. Louis at no cost to each student. Thank you, After Prom Committee for contributing to this great memory for our seniors!
